PEACH SUNRISE BOWL
SUMMER. This bowl encapsulates it. The holy grail of smoothie bowls is to make this when you can find fresh peaches and figs in peak season and savor every morsel of their juicy sweet and smooth flesh. These fruits in concert with the floral notes of fragrant cardamom wax pure smoothie bowl poetry. The combo is so good I’m sure you can catch me mid winter whipping up this very bowl but with frozen peaches and frozen figs… snow falling out the window… slurping smoothie by the fireplace….
Peach Sunrise Bowl
2 frozen bananas
2 cups frozen peaches
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp cardamom
2 figs (fresh or frozen) handful of spinach (optional)
enough water to blend (you can always add water as needed, but you cannot remove it! Go easy at first adding a little water at a time so you can achieve a nice thick consistency)
Blend all of the ingredients above until you’ve achieved a thick smoothie consistency. Pour into a bowl and add toppings of your choice.
